Changing the Central Administration port

Next to a port conflict between SharePoint and Data Protector, we have to modify the Central Administration port. These one has to be moved from 5555 to 4444.

Here is the central administration before the change. As you can see, this one is on the port 5555:

To change the port quickly, we can use the psconfig.exe command with the "adminvs" option.

In our case, we will run the following command on all servers hosting the central administration in the farm:

psconfig.exe -cmd adminvs -port 4444

As you can see, the three configuration steps completed correctly. Our central administration is now reconfigured with the right port:
