I cannot add a user in a SharePoint Security Group

Sadly, you cannot add a user in a SharePoint Group without getting this message:



Here is the solution:



  • In Internet Explorer, type the F12 key
  • In the Developer Toolbar:
    • Change the Browser Mode to Internet Explorer 8
    • Change the Document Mode to IE 8 Standard
  • The page will reload
  • You can add the user in the group
